A female Boomslang measuring just over a metre was captured in a home on Neptune Drive in Mount Vernon – KZN.
A resident contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre after they witnessed the snake enter the house through the kitchen door. RUSA Members were immediately dispatched and on arrival were informed that the reptile was last seen behind the fridge.
Area Manager Nkosinathi Ndaba removed the fridge and discovered the snake moving along the wall towards a passage.
He safely captured and relocated it.
