JMPD TRU officers conducting crime prevention patrols along Impala Road in Emdeni observed a white Toyota Prado travelling slowly against oncoming traffic on Emdeni Link Road. The vehicle subsequently veered off the road, came to a stop & collided with the pavement.
The officers tactically approached the vehicle & found it abandoned, with no occupants inside but still in drive mode. Preliminary checks using the displayed registration number yielded no results.
However, further investigation using the VIN revealed the vehicle’s correct registration details. Cartrack confirmed that the vehicle belongs to their client & had been reported stolen at Krugersdorp SAPS.
The vehicle was booked in at Lenasia SAPS pound.
