Vegetation Fire – Dana Bay

Mossel Bay Fire, Rescue and Disaster Management is currently at the scene of a vegetation fire in Dana Bay. The fire has spread over a large area from Louis Fourie Road (new cemetery) to Dana Bay. Additional crew has been brought in – no infrastructure is currently affected or in danger.
• 🚧 Flora Road is closed for traffic.
• 🚔 Municipal traffic officials are regulating traffic on Flora Road.
• 🚓 Provincial traffic officials are managing traffic on the N2.
• 🛣️ The emergency exit from Dana Bay, at the opposite end of Flora Road, remains available to road-users.
• 📢 Dana Bay residents must use the alternate route via the emergency exit.
Emergency services are on site. Traffic diversions are in place where necessary. Road-users are requested to remain patient and follow instructions from officials.
