A male pedestrian dressed in female clothing was struck by a vehicle in Oakford – KZN this morning (Tuesday) at approximately 19:58.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene following reports of a pedestrian vehicle accident.
On arrival, Reaction Officers established that a male travelling to work in a white Opel Corsa bakkie was proceeding along Oakford Road when a disorientated male pedestrian, dressed in a blue skirt, crop top and jacket, suddenly crossed the roadway in front of the vehicle.
The driver attempted to avoid the pedestrian but struck him, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and down an embankment. The driver sustained a minor laceration to his right hand. The pedestrian suffered a head injury.
Both parties were treated on scene before being transported for further medical attention.
