Police in Lephalale have arrested a 23-year-old male suspect in connection with a series of robbery and rape incidents that occurred at Silver Charms in the Lephalale policing area on 14 and 15 March 2026.
The suspect was apprehended on Wednesday, 19 March 2026, during an intelligence-driven operation conducted by Detectives at Lephalale.
During the arrest, police recovered several items believed to be linked to the crimes, including a firearm, ammunition, clothing suspected to have been used during the commission of the offences, and stolen property such as a laptop and footwear.
Preliminary information indicates that the suspect may be linked to multiple other house robbery cases in the Lephalale policing area, as a similar modus operandi was used.
