Great teamwork by #JMPD K9, Freeway, TRU, Region B & SAPS, who arrested a suspect in Rosebank after a high-speed pursuit 🚔
The driver of a white VW Polo skipped a red light at Bath & Bolton Ave, nearly colliding with a patrol vehicle. The suspect sped off, hitting several vehicles and a motorcycle during peak-hour traffic.
With backup from #SAPS Highway Patrol, the vehicle was blocked, and the suspect was apprehended.
Charges include:
🔹 Reckless & Negligent Driving
🔹 Hit & Run
🔹 Fleeing from Police
🔹 Fraud (False plates/No disc)
🔹 Driving Under the Influence 🍺
The suspect was detained at Rosebank SAPS, and the vehicle was impounded at Aeroton vehicle pound.
